I have been working as a graphic designer and illustrator in South Wales & Cowbridge area (in the Vale of Glamorgan) for nearly 20 years, but up until recently, even my closest friends were unaware of my paintings. It was only because of the constant (and long-term) nagging of family that I started showing my work, and I have to say that the reaction has been amazing!
I most enjoy painting landscapes and portraits. My beautiful local area, near Cardiff and Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan provides much of the subject material for the landscapes and I like to use vivid and autumnal colours to bring the scenes alive. The portraits on this gallery include clients, family and friends and are a selection painted over time. My daughters have provided endless source material, from babies to present day and I am happy that they will have something more than just photographs to keep as a family legacy.
The landscapes are all available for sale and are limited to 100 prints each, irrespective of size.
I employ a range of tecniques to produce artwork , ranging from digital media to acrylic paint, texturizers and varnish. Each individually embellished limited edition print is a combination of inks, acrylic and varnish and each one is numbered, signed individually and supplied with a personal letter of sale to each buyer. All are printed on the highest quality art paper, backed with a quality artboard, using a sophisticated process that uses inks that are good for hundreds of years!

I also accept commissions for portraits. These are delivered to clients, printed on the highest quality art paper and board, using the best quality inking process that I use for all my work. You may, of course, specify the size of portrait but most are happy with but usually, 18" X 12" is a great size. These are limited to an issue of one and I am happy to paint individuals, couples, families or wedding portraits. I would appreciate it if you would give me permission to display your portrait in my gallery, but I do understand that these become private possessions as soon as I hand them over, so I won't blame you if you say no!
These days, I paint for pleasure so I never charge the 'going commercial rate'. Expect to pay around £350 for your portrait at a size of 18" X 12 or 20 X 14" and to wait for around a month or so.
